Former diameter works fine with round ball, not so much with conical. Mouth needs to be a bit larger while using Elements rolling papers. They are tender and a miss try with bullet insertion usually results in folded edge and the making of another cartridge. Alignment has to be perfect. Havenāt tried o-ring at top of mandrel or tape yet, which should work. Funnel and dipper are well suited match for kit. Have 36 and 44 kits and issues are bout same.
54 Percussion Sharps Paper Cartridge Former Deluxe Kit
I ordered the .36 and Ruger Old Army Basic Kits. I received the .36 kit. I did not receive the Ruger Old Army Basic Kit. I have not heard anything back from the e-mail I submitted to Cartridge Kits on their web site. The .36 basic kit deserves better but one star for this screw up.
When loading round ball, be sure to leave enough room for the paper to come half way up the ball, otherwise you risk dumping your powder and ball into your lubrication. Donāt ask me how I know.
It takes a few dozen cartridges to get the hang of things, but then things will go smoothly and youāll be turning out perfect cartridges more rapidly. If you are not a patient person, consider a cartridge converter, but I find the repetition and flow to be relaxing.
I have not had an opportunity to use them but they look like it will be fun to give them a shot.
Great product! Very handy, good quality!
For the umpteenth time, when are you going to have bullets back in stock? How many times do I NEED to ask this question until you answer?
Products are good, their customer service and responses, NOT so good!
Works very well. I keep my lube in 4 oz glass Mason jars which are heavy enough to keep the heat on through an entire dipping session. I am using 50% beeswax/50%lamb tallow and the heater has no problem melting even a full jar.
Kit worked well, after making 2 or 3 I got the feel of it and was able to make them much faster. They all shot great. I did send a question to support email that was never responded to though.
While I haven't had a chance to use it yet, your kits are a real help when making these paper cartridges. I've had great success where making the Dragoon and Walker rounds so I have no doubt the Sharps will be just as impressive.
It is great! I will buy again!
However, I have asked multiple times, "When will you be getting bullets back in stock?" My question goes ignored.
So I ask again: When will you be getting bullets back in stock?
An organization which REFUSES to answer a simple question, leaves me wondering, what they are thinking about!
Sad!

received my kits for my sharps and my pistols. I have not had a chance to use them yet but am looking forward to it. They seem to be very complete and well done. Thank You.
It worked perfect! I'm completely satisfied
Just as described really nice kit . A little slow get to me . That may have been due to bad weather. All in all this is the second kit I have purchased so yes I like there products.
These are the best for making 44 cal cartridges.
Excellent, couldn't be more pleased
Seems like everything to get started.
I originally ordered the deluxe.44 kit. Liked it enough to order the all pistol caliber basic kit (I have a Walker, Dragoon, Old Army, .44 and .31 - even a NAA Companion but I donāt think I could make .22 paper cartridges even if a knob and block was available). I found it pretty easy to make a box (50) of paper cartridges while watching a football game. The instructions say that a can of lube should be enough to lube 200 .44 paper cartridges. Iāve made over 300 and only recently added a half cake of lube. Making paper cartridges is a bit cumbersome but certainly makes it easier and more fun to shoot at the range!
These are just what is needed to load for black powder. They fit well and performance out of the muzzle is the result. A++
Great kit. With 20 rounds per cycle it is a breeze to reach ample volume. I found that just a spontaneous cleaning every once in a while to the dopper (rolling mold) as glue gets sticky as it dries onto the plastic. Very accurate dipper Hole puncher is sturdy and neat in its function. Wax heats right up & covers bullets evenly
Used to rewax 50 cal mimie balls which had dried out. Clean easy to use and reuse!
