The circle cutter punch tears the paper haf to modify and sharpen it to make er work other than that it all works great and the powder load is almost perfect
Have kit for 54 sharps, like it. Haven't tried this one yet. They are handy and easy to use
Ordered the delux Ruger old army kit, and the four (4) extra 2-oz bullet lubes were missing? Also got the .50-inline rifle kit and shotgun kit in the same order
I do need one of your kit boxes. Not enough room for the .50 cal stuff. Your kits are always high quality. Thanks.
I am happy with the tool. But it took longer to receive the tool than I thought it should have.
This is exactly what I was looking for relating to pan tubing muzzleloader bullets. I wasn't having good success just trying to push bullets out of the wax. This device cuts them out clean and makes the process much faster!
great kit comes complete with everything you need to make paper cartridges for cap and ball revolvers. I've made several .31 and .44 envelopes just waiting on Eras gone to get back from vacation to get the molds for the bullets. works really well with nitrated coffee filter paper.
This is a great little item. Just carry it to the range and you are ready to shoot.
I’ve rolled around fifty cartridges. Works great
Former diameter works fine with round ball, not so much with conical. Mouth needs to be a bit larger while using Elements rolling papers. They are tender and a miss try with bullet insertion usually results in folded edge and the making of another cartridge. Alignment has to be perfect. Haven’t tried o-ring at top of mandrel or tape yet, which should work. Funnel and dipper are well suited match for kit. Have 36 and 44 kits and issues are bout same.
54 Percussion Sharps Paper Cartridge Former Deluxe Kit
I ordered the .36 and Ruger Old Army Basic Kits. I received the .36 kit. I did not receive the Ruger Old Army Basic Kit. I have not heard anything back from the e-mail I submitted to Cartridge Kits on their web site. The .36 basic kit deserves better but one star for this screw up.
When loading round ball, be sure to leave enough room for the paper to come half way up the ball, otherwise you risk dumping your powder and ball into your lubrication. Don’t ask me how I know.
It takes a few dozen cartridges to get the hang of things, but then things will go smoothly and you’ll be turning out perfect cartridges more rapidly. If you are not a patient person, consider a cartridge converter, but I find the repetition and flow to be relaxing.
I have not had an opportunity to use them but they look like it will be fun to give them a shot.
Great product! Very handy, good quality!
For the umpteenth time, when are you going to have bullets back in stock? How many times do I NEED to ask this question until you answer?
Products are good, their customer service and responses, NOT so good!
Works very well. I keep my lube in 4 oz glass Mason jars which are heavy enough to keep the heat on through an entire dipping session. I am using 50% beeswax/50%lamb tallow and the heater has no problem melting even a full jar.
Kit worked well, after making 2 or 3 I got the feel of it and was able to make them much faster. They all shot great. I did send a question to support email that was never responded to though.
